The Connection Between Ernest Hemingway and Sylvia Beach

Both Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) and Silvia beach (1887-1962) came to Paris from the United States for the purpose of success. Even though it is totally different, everyone can achieve their goals themselves and it will be much easier to achieve their goals with the help of the other. Through the opportunity offered by the beach, Hemingway changed from an ambitious writer to a Nobel Prize winner of literature. When the work was first published by Sylvia Beach in 1922, Barcelona was banned, but many copies sent from Paris to subscribers still reached the US destination. Even great writers like the Hemingway did not depend on their own success. He works in the newspaper, and the author, Sherwood Anderson, his boss, is helping him publish his first novel. After that, Hemingway contacted other anonymous authors such as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Virginia Woolf, James Joyce etc. Hemingway proved that natural talent itself is not the same as success. If you do not have similar interests around people it is hard to keep tough schedule to complete your skills or to improve yourself.
