New Urbanism and Environment Awareness Ceremony During the past two decades, the new urbanism movement began to spread among planners, designers, and builders. It does not provide a complete solution to many of the environmental problems caused by human development but it does provide a deeper understanding of poor and potential destructive trends indicated by traditional design, planning and construction methods indicate. Robert Davis, chairman of the New Urbanism Conference, explained the expansion and development issues of the city.

Along with the rapid expansion of the urban population of the world, people are increasingly aware of the need to minimize environmental costs due to urbanization. In urban areas concerns are raised concerning environmental damage, the depletion of unrepairable resources, and the rise in pollution levels. Recently, the downtown area has become a place where the urban environment deteriorates and resources are wasted. Sustainable urban development has achieved a good balance between growth, urban development and environmental protection with emphasis on employment, housing, basic services, social infrastructure, and traffic fairness in urban areas.

Translation of the environment, the latest developments in urban environmental geography, and new urban political ecology help to describe and reveal the transformation of urban environment and environmental governance into a new neo-liberal form. For example, studies on neo-liberalism in the urban environment have criticized the implementation of new environmental narratives as they accelerated with the exclusive entrepreneur agenda for urban renewal, high-end (Keil and Graham 1998; Cowell and Thomas 2002; Whitehead 2003). People have revealed the emergence and importance of new structures and alliances for governance and regulation of the urban environment, including the limits of social production and regeneration (Feldman and Jonas 2000; Jonas and Gibbs 2003; Pincetl 2003). Sustainability has been integrated into the neo-arbism structure from the beginning. The first paragraph of the New Urbanism Charter combines "environmental degradation" and "loss of agricultural land and wilderness" with "spread of ubiquitous, separation of race and income" and "erosion of social architectural heritage". Unlike mainstream environmentalism, new urbanism pays more attention to natural areas, wilderness and industrial pollution, and new urbanism defines environmental protection as "issue of mutual related community formation".
