The Colorado River

The Colorado River is a river once filled with mud and raw energy, now it is a clear blue old and river. When I saw this movie, only one kind of thought came out in my head. Dam deserves some of the most devastating variants of the world's most famous natural form. This dilemma is not just the beautiful Colorado River. The Columbia River is a wonderful river that flows through the Pacific Northwest and downstream of Canada. According to National Geographic magazine, this was once only "about 43 million pounds (20 million kilograms) of squid and steel head" and only one runoff, now only about 2 million pounds.

Similar happen for human activities along the Colorado River. The Colorado River is nominally fresh water, but its scenery makes it salty more than most rivers. When salt water is pumped up to the ground for irrigation, salt is added to the soil as it dries or permeates the soil. They returned it to the river by extracting sufficient water to solve the salt problem, but then it needed more salt to return to the river and the result became more salty . Before the treaties signed in the 1970s were otherwise required, the Colorado River could not cultivate crops any longer because the Colorado River was salty before reaching Mexico.

The Colorado River works now. Ancestral "Colorado River" was formed someday between 6000 and 70 million years ago during the formation of the Rocky Mountains east of the Grand Canyon as the main Western drainage system for these mountains. The route of this ancestral river has changed many times over the years as its surrounding topography changed. The ancestral route of the Colorado River starts in Colorado State and once it enters the Marble Canyon area it is currently negotiable.

Some old geologists temporarily adopt new theories that require quite strange twists and rotations. The theory suggests that the Colorado River has recently flowed through the Grand Canyon Region. Colorado originally flowed in the opposite direction by Kaibab Upwarp and headed southeast toward the Gulf of Mexico. The Colorado River of the ancestor may have occupied the current route of the Little Colorado River in the direction opposite to the current route.
