The Cold War

One of my first memories was a beautiful warm summer night sitting in the garden with my grandfather looking up at the stars. Then my grandfather started talking about two powerful people in the world who can destroy the whole earth with just two buttons. Bombs bring huge light and unbearable fever. Everyone is destroyed. I remember the shock that I felt, I can not understand who wants to destroy me.

Basically this is a missile defense system, laser and other state-of-the-art technology can offset future missiles. This project relied on technologies that were not yet available, but this project aroused the fear of the Soviet Union and gave the US an advantage in negotiations.
