The Cold War

The majority of the American identity as the United States was determined by the events that took place from the early 1940s to the mid-1960s. During the Second World War, the United States became a leader of the economy through industry reorganization to satisfy the people's personal sacrifice and the need for war. The free market system in the United States will provide tremendous technical strength and help expand the market opportunities. The Soviet Union was also part of the allied worldwide ally of World War II and expanded its borders to neighboring countries to promote the communist economic structure of central control.

If you do not know yet, the Cold War is a period of fierce competition between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War lasted from the end of the Second World War in 1945 until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Cold War was not a real war with people, guns, tanks, fighters, but a fierce war. President Reagan of the two superpowers in the world thinks that the United States needs to have strong military power. He thinks he is willing to negotiate with the Soviets (he does), but he wants to negotiate from a strong position. In 1983, Reagan proposed a missile defense system called Strategic Defense Program (SDI). Basically this is a missile defense system, laser and other state-of-the-art technology can offset future missiles. This project relied on technologies that were not yet available, but this project aroused the fear of the Soviet Union and gave the US an advantage in negotiations. The project has never been fully deployed

With the advent of the Cold War in 1945 and the spread of nuclear weapons technology to the Soviet Union, the possibility of World War III became more rational. During the Cold War, military authorities in many countries forecasted and planned the possibility of World War III. The scene ranges from regular warfare to limited or comprehensive nuclear warfare. In the middle of the Cold War, a scenario called Mutual Violence ("MAD") has been calculated that determines that a complete nuclear crash reliably destroys almost all of the human life on Earth. The possibility of human absolute destruction may help the leaders of the US and the Soviet Union avoid this situation.
