The Cold War for Kids

The Cold War is a long-term tension between Western democracy and the Eastern European communist country. The West is led by the United States, Eastern Europe is led by the Soviet Union. These two countries are called super powers. Although the two superpowers have never declared war officially, they indirectly participate in surrogate war, arms race competition and space competition.

After the end of the Second World War in 1945, the Cold War did not start long. The Soviet Union was an important member of the allies, but there was great disbelief between the Soviet Union and other allies. The Allies are concerned about Joseph Stalin's cruel leadership and the spread of communism.

The Cold War is often done in the form of a surrogate war between America and the super powers of the Soviet Union. These are wars with other countries, but each party is supported by different superpowers. Examples of surrogate wars include the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Yom Kipple War and the Soviet War in Afghanistan.

The US and the Soviet Union also tried to fight the Cold War by demonstrating their power and skill. One example is arms race competition, each party trying to get the best weapon and the best nuclear bomb. The idea is that if you have a large amount of weapons you can prevent your opponent from attacking. Another example is space competition where each party tries to prove that by first completing several space missions it has better scientists and skills.

When the cold war children rose to the stage, the crowd was expanded and it cheered when the first string of "miracle mile" was struck. The cold war children have gifts, they are in the scene, they seem to fall apart at any time, but the sound is super clear. On stage, members shuffle cards, sometimes encountering each other, but they show it easily. Their first hit "Hang Up Dry" proves their durability and the audience is singing that outro. "This is a beautiful night," Willet said from the stage, he was right, the lawn among the three skyscrapers turned into a glass fiber valley and the children were filled with great energy. "Harold Bloom" is an unforgettable one whose dazzling organ was placed in the night sky. The children joined the last part of the string and alternative singers, and their songs were heard larger than usual.

The cold war children wasted time on the stage, there was no time to go in the order of "inappropriate to me", "I have seen enough" and "Rubidoux". Nathan Willett, lead singer, said, "I am called Cold War children, I'm from Los Angeles," and I met all of them. The stage performance of the cold war children is worthy of praise. . The extra energy of the tour group member Matthew Schwartz dances between the stages, moves between the instruments, and provides some wonderful alternative sounds. The band played a cool combination of "Royal Blue", "More noisy than ever" and "Audience".
