The Third World is a part of the world that did not belong to the world industrialized at the beginning of the Cold War. The first world is the United States, the second world is the Soviet Union. Developing countries represent most of Asia, Africa and Latin America. After most of these countries became independent from Western influences and resources, their infrastructure began to collapse. The United States and the Soviet Union used their allies for raw materials and markets which are an important part of the Cold War.
The United States possibly gained many benefits from India, such as supporting the West during the Cold War (Indian non-alliance), especially the nearby Vietnam War is rapidly feverish. President Joseph Caliphano, one of the assistants of President Linden Johnson, suggested that the US immediately adopt food aid measures as a memorandum to the president, to ensure this maternalism. In response, he received a phone call from Johnson the same afternoon. "Are you apart from your own ideas?" The president exploded. He explicitly declared, "In countries where they refused to deal with their population problems they refuse to give up foreign aid."
In the post-Cold War era, an important aspect of India's foreign policy was "Eastern policy". During the Cold War, relations with India's Southeast Asian countries were not that strong. After the end of the Cold War, the Indian government was particularly aware of the importance of rectifying diplomatic imbalances in India. Therefore, the Narushimarrao government in the early 1990s revealed aspects of Eastern policy. Initially, I focused on restoring political and economic relations with East Asia and Southeast Asian countries.
Since the end of the Cold War, the relationship between India and the United States has improved greatly. Both America and India are democracy and have a large-scale and growing trade relationship which has greatly contributed to this. During the Gulf War, the Indian economy has reached a very difficult stage. The Indian government adopted a liberalized economic system. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, India improved diplomatic relations with NATO member countries, in particular Canada, France and Germany. In 1992, India established formal diplomatic relations with Israel.
