The Civil Rights Movement

The civil rights movement in the middle of the 20th century showed an important point in the change of American racial relations. Prior to and during the civil rights movement, African Americans faced persecution under the legal sanctions, and Jim Crowe was criticized by justice by American white men. Peaceful protests and other civil disobedience methods are often subject to white attacks and violence. We have voted legally since the 19th century, but many African Americans can not exercise their rights.

We have not learned much about the civil rights movement including the Asian American role in the struggle.
