The City of Cleveland’s Public Website: Seeking a Sole Source Renewal of Hosting Contract With CampusEAI

Since January 2008 Cleveland's public website (www.city.cleveland.oh.us and www.cleveland-oh.gov) is hosted by CampusEAI. We are looking for the sole supplier of hosting contract with CampusEAI. It translates the site into funds for other vendors and hosting systems, and is very time and labor intensive. CampusEAI is a global nonprofit information technology services and consulting service provider based in Cleveland that assists organizations to deliver timely enterprise e-business solutions in a cost-effective manner.

This achievement is recognized through the renewal agreement with the US Department of Commerce. This agreement is a single source agreement signed on August 15, 2006, with a 1 year contract period and 4 renewal periods for a new collaborative project agreement with ICANN and the Department of Commerce. The second renewal period took place in the third quarter of 2008. Staff IANA's personnel allocation has not changed significantly in the past year, but IANA is addressing the same workforce increase in workload. Barbara Roseman is a general manager of IANA. Major IANA team members continue to play a role as relationship managers of IANA stakeholders. These are Kim Davies, Leo Vegoda, the root zone service manager, Digital Resource Manager, and IETF Relationship Manager Michelle Cotton. Simon Raveh is in charge of development of software and tools, development manager of IANA. Pearl Liang, Naela Sarras, and Amanda Baber complete full-time employees

One is to expose the city data of Windsor via the Internet so that ordinary citizens can access like a classic web based UMS. The other is to allow authorized users such as administrators to access more sophisticated operations such as managing GIS data via the Internet without installing other GIS software.

Mount Vernon loses money everyday because there is no approved cable television franchise renewal agreement. The current contract is being held by the city council since 2016. Fortunately, the new city council seems willing to cooperate with the government, and we are considering fulfilling contracts soon. This contract is very good for Mt. Vernon. It will save cable electricity bills for elderly people and qualified residents hundreds of dollars each month. It will provide public access to city halls, thereby increasing transparency and accountability, and will require large cable companies to pay millions of dollars a year to the city. This money is crucial to the administration of the government. It will allow Mount Vernon to easily alleviate the property tax burden, but will still provide youth programs, sophisticated activities, infrastructure investment and other basic services.
