The Children of Thunder

In the summer of 2000, Helzer Brothers (Glen and Justin) and Justin 's daughter Dawn Godman killed five people. Three members named their cults the son of Thunder and they committed these murders as believing that homicide would bring about the resurrection of Christ. The victims were 22-year-old Celina Bishop, Bruce guitarist, Elvin Bishop's daughter, Jennifer Billerin, and her fellow James Gamble, and a couple married for 55 years, Ivan and Annette Steinmann.

Justin Helzer: Brothers and accomplices of Taylor Thzer, leader of the "Thunder's Son" cult. He was sentenced to death in 2005 with his older brother. In 2010, Justin pierced his eyes with a pencil and tried to kill himself blind. But despite his suicide surveillance, he ultimately killed himself on April 14, 2013. Country music singer Johnny Cash played at least two times in San Clemente in his career. Haggard got inspiration at first, in 1958, including a young imprisoned Merle Haggard, the concert was partly released and was chased after the music. Eleven years later on February 24, 1969, Cash hosted another live concert for prisoners. The 1969 concert was released in the form of San Quentin 's album and San Quentin' s TV documentary Johnny Cash (a picture taken by Granada TV).

Mildred D. Taylor is the author of nine novels such as "The Memphis Road", "Let the Circles Uninterrupted", "Land", "The Sound of Thunder", "Listen to my cry". Her books have won numerous awards including New Berry Medal (The Sound of Thunder, listening to my scream), 4 Coreta Scott Gold Awards, and Boston Universal Music Awards. Her work The Land received the Los Angeles Times Book Award and the PEN Children's Literature Award. Taylor received the NSK Neustadt Children's Literature Prize in 2003.
