Characteristic of doctor in "Doctor's story" Geoffrey Chaucer details many of the characters in the article "Canterbury Tales". The interesting story he wrote is the doctor's story. The doctor's story represents the story of deadly sins and desires. This story reflects doctors in various ways. Furthermore, in this story many characters such as knights, girls, judges are drawn. Each of these roles plays an important role in this story. Because they help to characterize the doctor.

In the order of the Canterbury story, Pardoner's prologue and Tale were formerly The Physician's Tale. "Doctor's Story" is a painful story about a judge who used "Char" to explain the outline of a beautiful young woman; her father did not make her rape but beheaded. After the host insisted that he was dissatisfied with this frustrating story, he called for amnesty to speak of the story, declaring that the foreword was in the form of literary regret just like Berth's wife's foreword Did. But amnesty did not apologize for his bad habits, but bragmed about his victims, and he only despised it. His "theme" - preaching Biblical text - was Radix malorum est cupiditas ("greed is the root of evil" 1 Timothy 6.10).

Obviously, thanks to the profound influence of the physician on Virginia's sad and bad stories, the host praised the doctor by using as many medical terms as possible. But he rejects the doctor's morality for the story and replaces one of his own. Therefore, wealth and natural gifts are not necessarily good ("Gifts of wealth and nature were always the cause of many deaths"). Given that pilgrims need a happy story, the owner looks to pardon. Members of the upper class of the company are afraid that pardon is a vulgar story and are concerned about asking to give moral talk to that amnesty.
