The Changes in Social Media Usage: Students’ Perspective

The functionality of social networking sites is directly proportional to their functionality, so the popularity and scanning of these sites will greatly influence the user's prejudice and their thoughts on them. It is clear that social networks and social media will have a major impact on people's way of thinking and behavior. In particular, Facebook is widely participating in the Internet. Over the years, Facebook's interface and features have changed and moved from college-specific communication tools to one of the most famous websites on the web. Educational institutions are increasingly using Facebook to keep in touch with registered students and to master potential students. This article is intended to show how Facebook usage changed over time. In other words, the aim is to study how college students' views and how to use Facebook education change from 2009 to 2013. In this survey, 382 students from two different universities in North Cyprus participated. "Facebook uses questionnaires to collect data." The results of this survey show that Facebook's concepts and usage have changed and expanded over the years, and that Facebook has become an important tool for education.

Typical Weekend Usage Changes During a typical weekend, 41% of students have increased the use of social media networks and 5% has increased substantially. On the weekend, 24% of university students reduced usage. Due to social media and internet addiction, various effects are cited. However, because of negative and positive influences it also affects adolescent living. Social media is very beneficial and dangerous for young people. These media are more than just spending time and being obsessed with it. The theme of social media is to connect with the world. As poisoning begins, productivity in adolescence is minimized. There are also results that do not actually prove that social media poisoning may affect adolescents' lives.
