The Causes of the American Revolution

Between the 1750s and the beginning of the American Revolutionary War, relations between British and American colonies gradually deteriorated. When the first British immigrants settled in the USA, the relationship between colonies and their home countries was a bit peaceful. However, in subsequent generations, their relationship became more nervous as policies and taxes were imposed on British non-participating American settlers. In the UK they think they are right to do so because they paid huge debts in the ongoing war with France. These taxes caused a colonial rebellion, which led to British occupation in the United States, and even a rebellion. After all, the conflict between settlers and British brought about a revolutionary war and the formation of a new country.
