The Causes of Homelessness

Walking through the streets of many metropolitan areas often encounters problems that are often overlooked, ie homeless. Considering that more than 600,000 people are homeless at any time, homelessness in the United States can be regarded as a big problem. Of the homeless people, 46% are often not homeless, 37% are chronic homeless, and about 16% are families (National Homeless Alliance, 2013). There may be people who self-named "How does this affect me?", But it is not so at the moment.

But there is a consensus that the cause of homeless has changed significantly since the federal government first solved this problem 70 years ago. And homeless is considered to be a result of low moral quality of people. Alcoholism and substance abuse, imprisonment or economic adversity is immediately included in the list of probable causes. In the 1960s and 1970s, unemployment of patients with mental disorders was thought to be responsible for the increase in homelessness and street hooligans. Until recently people thought homeless would go far beyond their families.

Problems related to homelessness are quoted in other ways as the main reason for homelessness. Drug abuse and mental health are often present at the same time and are listed most frequently as causes of homelessness. Before accommodation it is much more than men, trigger than women. Economic conditions such as factory shutdown and relocation, shrinking company, and related economic difficulties are not widely recognized, but they are rapidly growing. Due to these economic factors, homeless people are often referred to as "people who are stateless homeless people" or who are autonomously confused by external forces (Crystal, 1984, McChesney, 1993, p. 368). . Drug use and mental health issues are common among homeless people, but identifying specific causes of homeless is often difficult.
