The Causes & Effects of Immigration in America

Technically, immigrants mean that nonresidents will migrate to new places. As long as civilization exists, the wave of immigration is already happening. In the past few centuries immigrants brought newcomers to the United States from other parts of the world. These waves also include Western Europeans, Central Americans, Asians and other ethnic groups. The reasons for immigration are diverse and personal, and their influence is still in controversy and research.

Many people live in countries where governments and politicians are corrupt, inefficient, or both. Their life reminds people every day due to the collapse of the economy, sadness, and discomfort associated with poverty. Sometimes the government controls the employment market and prohibits certain people from taking a specific occupation. They may also bear too much debt to other countries to help their people and invest funds to gain a competitive economic foundation. Many countries are civil warfare or they are fighting with neighboring countries. People in these countries dream of a place to live, work, and have peace of mind.

Some people emigrate to the state to escape religious persecution. Discrimination based on religion seems to be out of date in the US, but it still exists in many parts of the world. In the Middle East, Christians, Jews, and Muslims are still fighting for the sanctuary they think belong to them. Some people migrate to friends and families. Because my American family adopted them from another place, another person was brought here. Other people have discovered or believe they found an opportunity to gain huge economic benefits.

When people talk about immigrant influence today, they usually refer to our economy. Some people think immigrants should be encouraged, and immigrants are pleased with employment opportunities not found in citizens, which helps our economy. For example, food service and maintenance work for young and uneducated people can be done by immigrants. Another aspect of the argument is that when immigrants come here to find jobs, immigrants are taking jobs from Americans. In order to gain experience and rewards, young Americans may claim to engage in food service and maintenance. There is no formal ruling as to which side of the argument is correct. Some people think immigrants will adversely affect wages in the United States by accepting lower wages, but others think that immigrants will raise wages. Economists have announced the results of the research, discussion continues through new parliamentary immigration laws passing through Congress and the city.
