The Case of Honora Concannon

The case of Honora Concannon was reported at Dublin Evening News in July 1824. The famous trial at County Clare was the killing of William Higgins by prostitute Honora Concannon who was a cousin of Claire's Corofin. The evidence against her is so strong that the jury convicted without leaving the box. Concannon was sentenced to hanging and death. After chewing the death man enormously, she stretched the rope around her neck.
