The California Missions

21 missions from San Diego to Sonoma in California, Alta are the legendary California and the past of our country. In the world there are few areas with growth and development physics and visual timeline in the country.

In 1769, according to the order of King Spain, offshore and athletic expeditions left Mexico to gather in Mexico in San Diego, where the first fortress and mission was founded as the forefront pillar. The king sent military and Franciscan missionaries to the colony territory on a new land and converted their Indian residents to Christianity.

Along the coast of California, forty-four years, four fortresses, one branch office, and twenty-one missions were established. Several of these places eventually developed into the state's major cities including San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Jose and San Francisco.

The establishment of the California delegation began seven years before the signature of the Declaration of Independence of the year 1776 and ended 25 years before the discovery of gold at the Sartre factory. The mission expansion ended in 1823, and the mission bell of Sonoma rang.

Established in 1998, the California Mission Foundation aims to protect the rich history of California is the only organization specializing in the restoration and protection of 21 mission structures and their contents.

Many of California's missions continue to be effective, restructured and play an important role in California's cultural heritage. The California Mission Trail is currently under the control of the California Park Authority, and the saved mission attracts thousands of visitors each year. School children in California must also remember the names of all 21 missions. Ranch continues to affect the development of California's agricultural economy. The ranch established a model of land and water that is used today in California. The ranch is the basis of the state land investigation system and the name is still displayed in the land and water. They have been separated mainly and sold to different owners, but many areas still protect the boundaries of the original meadows they built, like Rancho Penasquitos in the suburbs of San Diego.
