The Butcher’s Tale by Helmut Walser Smith

Anti-Semitism is hatred and discrimination against people with the Jewish heritage. It is usually associated with the Holocaust, but the book by Helmut Walser Smith "The Butory of Butcher" shows the emergence of anti-Semitism from the grassroots effect. Smith used a newspaper, court order and written records to write the history and growth of anti-Semitism in a small town in Germany. This book focuses on how anti-Semitism extends for fear of human trafficking, class conflict, and government's role.
