The Bubonic Plague

People usually suffer from plague 1 to 6 days after infection. Failure to treat early may spread bacteria to other parts of the body, causing sepsis or pulmonary plague.

Pest is a normal diagnosis. But the papal doctor of Avignon talked about fever, vomiting, and ulceration but did not swell (ingui).
