The Bubonic Plague

Many diseases deprive people of their lives everyday. The plague of the 14th century was a serious infectious disease, about 25 million people died throughout Europe. This epidemic not only creates difficulties for the country in many areas through attitudes and lifestyles, it also brings some benefit to the economy through job creation. Glandular plague is a disease caused by bacterial infection caused by Yesinia petitis. This bacteria comes from rat fleas. Rats bring the bacteria into the digestive tract and enter the fleas without harm.

The three types of plague are the result of the infection route. Bubonic plague, septic plague, and pulmonary plague. Pest is spread mainly by fleas infected with small animals. The main feature of the glandular plague is swollen, painful lymph nodes, usually in the groin, armpits, or neck. Other symptoms include fever, chills, headaches and extreme fatigue. People usually suffer from plague 1 to 6 days after infection. Failure to treat early may spread bacteria to other parts of the body, causing sepsis or pulmonary plague.

Pest is a normal diagnosis. But the papal doctor of Avignon talked about fever, vomiting, and ulceration but did not swell (ingui). The plague spread by rat flea usually precedes the death of the mouse group (only when flea selects humans). But in 1348 nobody did record this.
