Introduction and goal BP oil spill began in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010 and began with BP's Macondo Prospect. On April 20, 2010, 126 workers of Deepwater Horizon Mobile Drilling Rig temporarily closed the Macondo wells to be surveyed. That night, the explosive device exploded abroad, and eventually caused a series of incidents that resulted in the sinking of Deepwater Horizon. When the fire was swallowed and eventually the rig was destroyed, 11 crewmembers were killed and other crew were seriously injured.
Deepwater Horizon 's oil spill (also called BP oil spill) in the Gulf of Mexico is regarded as the biggest accidental offshore oil spill in the history of the oil industry. The oil spill was a direct result of the explosion and sinking of the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling equipment which took 11 lives. The total amount of oil was estimated at 9 million barrels. A huge crude oil carrier carrying the Liberian flag was divided into three, and 1,604,500 barrels (219,797 tons) of light crude oil and 4,000 tons of heavy oil were released, becoming the largest scale of oil spill at that time and became the largest scale. Loss of marine creatures recorded from oil spillage outflow
The oil spill of BP destroyed the Gulf, and the world seemed helpless in 2010. More than 200 million gallons of crude oil flowed into the Gulf of Mexico for 87 days, making it the biggest oil spill in US history. 16,000 miles of coastline including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida were seriously affected. The loss of life and marine life, income along the gulf along the fishermen and closed beach is devastating. But in this human disaster, our large group of people began using their minds to dissipate materials, prayers and energy.
The oil spill of Deepwater Horizon / BP, perhaps the biggest anthropogenic environmental hazard, was the greatest oil spill in the history of the world oil industry. The cause of the incident was the explosion of oil drilling equipment and the sinking in the sea. This case deprived 11 lives, wasting about 5 million barrels of oil and brought a serious threat to over 8,000 marine life. Despite purification work, these ecological losses may last for many years. This is the most notorious coastal dumping site in the United States and there are various pollutants such as nitrogen and phosphorous rich pesticides, fertilizer, animal excrement. Pollutants come from the farm near the Mississippi River, and the number is very large.
