The Book of Philemon

In order to understand and interpret philemon and the theological insight of a passage of the Bible, at least the basic understanding of historical and cultural principles must be in the head of the reader. If you do not understand these truths, you may misunderstand or distort the text. This is not that you can not get anything from the text. However, as many of the detail details may still be hidden, there is no need to combine them in one.

When reading the New Testament, Philemon tends to be overlooked. Text messages that the apostle Paul wrote to the Colosseum 's wealthy church leader with just 25 poems can be easily seen when looking for Hebrews, James, or Apocalypse. But those who take time to read the letter will receive valuable lessons about the importance of Christian love, forgiveness, and recovery. Paul wrote a letter to a friend or colleague while waiting for a trial in Rome. Rather, the letter was written to believers gathered at Philemon and Philemon's house (v. 2), indicating that the author intends to make his message more widely available. A specific case at hand.

 Please read Philemon together. It is divided into two groups. I read Paul's request that he should accept Philemon as a brother, not a slave, so let the group contemplate all the thoughts and feelings Philie thinks. Last Sunday, we completed the New Testament Philemon.
