Ezekiel tends to be overlooked, little is known about his private life. His name is actually mentioned only twice in the whole book. A mysterious prophet knows that he is the son of a priest Buzz. That name means "God becomes strong." This is the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians 10 years ago. Israeli exiles settled in Tel Aviv on the coast of Ceval, in the Chaldean region (Thomas 24).

Ezekiel was a priest in the temple of Jerusalem. He may have been taken to Babylon in 597 BC. The first exile when the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem. Ezekiel recorded what happened four years later. When Ezekiel accepted his calling as a prophet, he lived in the village of Babylon. He predicted exiles that this temple would be destroyed by Jewish idolatry before exile. The Babylonians destroyed the temple in 587 BC

When Ezekiel accepted God's call, he began to predict what had happened in Judah. These prophecies form the first part of Ezekiel. His teaching includes criticizing Jewish crimes. He predicted that Jerusalem will collapse and the temple will be destroyed. Eleven years after Ezekiel was taken to Jerusalem, this prediction came true. In 586 BC, Nebuchadnezzar burned Jerusalem and destroyed the temple and the wall. After Ezekiel saw the collapse of Jerusalem, his message changed to include hope of saving the people of God. For his priest 's career (1: 3), he was able to teach and guide prisoners. He will not extinguish freedom and resurrection hope. This is reflected in the second part of his book.
