The Boeing 737

Boeing 737 is one of the most popular aircraft ever. Over 7,700 models are being produced and 11,275 aircraft are ordered. This makes 737 the most popular jet airliner ever. 737 has a wide range of uses, it is still very popular and tough. As it is such a widespread mass produced aircraft, it is also a goal of constant aerodynamic improvement. Boeing is studying various problems from the design of the collision avoidance light to the reduction of the small clearance of the airfoil.

WestJet is a publicly traded company with more than 13,000 employees and does not belong to any airline alliance. It operates three Boeing 737 New Generation waveguide series, Boeing 737 MAX and Boeing 767 aircraft on specific long distance route. WestJet has two direct subsidiaries, WestJet Encore which operates Bombardier Q 400 and West Jet Link which runs Saab 340 B. The airport's headquarters is adjacent to Calgary International Airport. On 29th February 1996, the first WestJet aircraft (Boeing 737-200) took off. Initially, the airline had provided three Boeing 737-200 aircraft and 225 employees to Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver and Winnipeg. By the end of the same year, the company added Regina, Saskatoon, Victoria to its network.

January 5, 2018 - The WestJet flight 2425 which is Boeing 737 flight from Cancun to Toronto was attacked and the Sunwing Airlines Boeing 737, which was towed at Toronto · Pearson International Airport, was parked and approached the gate.
