The Black Prince

Black Prince (1330-1376) Black Prince is the eldest son of Edward III. His real name is the Prince Edward planter net born in Woodstock Palace in June 1330. Black Prince grew up as one of the most famous fighters of history. I do not yet know where his nickname (Black Prince) came from, but it certainly was born about 200 years after his death. There is no evidence to support him wearing black armor which seems to have influenced this famous nickname.

Edward is often called "black prince". The first known source of the nickname "Black Prince" was the ancient John Leland of the 1530s or the early 1540s (about 165 years after Black Prince's death). Leland mentioned this nickname in two manuscripts in the 1530s or early 1540s. And it suggested that the date was relatively wide. In one place, Leland refers to "Edwardi Principis cog: Nigri" (ie "Edward the Prince, cognomen: The Black") in Latin, on the other hand it writes in English on "Black Prince". In both cases, Leland summarized the early works - the Eulogium Historiarum of the 14th century and John Warkworth's chronicle of the latter half of the fifteenth century, neither name appears in his original text. Raphael Hollins used it many times in his chronicle (1577); in theater Richard II (1595; Law 2, Law 3) and Henry V (1599 pages; Act 2, Act 4 ) Also uses it

In the 1350's, the army of Edward III was led by his son, heroic Edward "Black Prince". Black Prince became a British famous hero and was known as his knight. Black Prince leads the British to a big victory for the French. In the Battle of Poitiers, the Black Prince occupied the present King French King John II. When Henry V in England became the king of England in 1413, he claimed to be the French throne again. He invaded France and won the decisive battle at Agincourt. He had about 6,000 soldiers breaking the larger French army, about 25,000 people. Eventually, the French passed away and Charles V named Henry the throne.
