The Benefits of the New Deal

Professor Burton W. Folsom Jr. believes that the high tax and special interest expense of certain banks, railways, farmers, and veterans in New Deal have created an anti-free market and a bad business environment. Henry Morgenthau Jr. is the Finance Minister and a very strong person. According to First Lady, Morgans is one of the only people in the world who can tell the president he is wrong and still running away.

During the 12 years of Franklin Roosevelt's term of 1933, he has usually paid attention to soothe southern Caucasus by arranging the interests of the New Deal plan for black citizens. This is what Roosevelt believes that he must pay in order to pass these New Deal plans and later to gain support for the Southern war effort. With the help of a black soldier, I won the World War II and everything changed. Veterans who returned home obviously challenged the southern apartheid ethnic system. Caucasians naturally resist this change. Therefore, Republicans felt a historic opportunity when Linden Johnson published the first meaningful federal civil rights bill in the Congress in 1964. Republicans were minorities since the early 1930s. They know that they can not do both at the same time

The Roosevelt regime and the African American are complicated. Since thousands of blacks are benefiting from the New Deal plan, especially public works, Roosevelt will become the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the majority of blacks in 1936. Nevertheless, the President refuses to challenge discrimination in the federal relief plan, or to approve the laws that may lynch Federal crimes, as the President is afraid to alienate Caucasians in the South. Furthermore, when developing a new policy, the interests of African Americans tend to be overlooked. For example, as the editorial by the "Opportunity" - "National Cities Alliance" magazine indicates, the new regulation under the National Industry Recovery Act generally allows blacks to pay less than white people.

Democracy was also suffering from various diseases if capitalism still deteriorated in 1940. Even though African Americans and women are receiving many benefits from the New Deal, they benefit much less than white males. In addition, New Deal does not take any measures to guarantee the rights of all Americans guaranteed through the Constitution, such as voting rights and fair trial rights.
