The Benefits of High Quality Early Education

A high-quality kindergarten has been effectively proven to reduce duplication of grades, drop out of school, and participate in special education (Belfield et al., 2006, Reynolds et al., 2002). In May 2010, the National Institute for Early Education (NIEER) announced a statistical report that found that high-quality child rearing can increase the positive results of children. According to Dr. W. Stephen Burnett, director of NIEER, "High quality kindergarten children will enter kindergarten with high reading ability.

Parents, families, and communities have also benefited from high quality early education. Participation in these programs with African-American parents provides a better language and culture environment, shows emotional support for parent's growth, and supports higher level family education support indicate. Parents of African-American children who participated in the early startup program reported less symptoms of depression, less alcohol intake, and less activity (Head Start Program Information Report, 2013).

Decades of research shows that there are many advantages to quality early care and education. Unequal access to quality childcare is currently exacerbating social and economic inequality. For over 10 years as a researcher in the childcare field, I think that it is necessary to widen the range of high quality early learning opportunities to narrow the achievement gap. However, the teacher's expenses still make child-rearing costs higher than the university's expenses. Most parenting expenses include personnel expenses. This is because preschool teachers - for health, safety, and development for various reasons - are responsible only to the children of the group. Children's tolerance ratio for teachers varies from state to state. For example, in the early head start program, one baby girl and four babies in the upper class of eight children are needed.

Researchers have repeatedly confirmed the advantages of high quality early care and extensive sustainable development of education but it is frustrating to provide affordable quality options to all families. Even high quality nursery services, prices may even exceed the average rent and the tuition fee of the university. The average annual cost of intensive childcare for infants and 4 year olds is close to $ 18,000, which is equivalent to 42% of the average income of a typical African-American family.
