The Benefits of FFA Membership

The spacious and quiet auditorium suddenly became a vibrant social center. A large double door was opened by thousands of enthusiastic young members of FFA. The subject of the conversation may include a recent discussion about the use of Global Positioning Satellite on Tractor and the debut of the best country singer in history, but there is one thing in common among these young people. They are all wearing the blue Corduroy jacket of FFA, proudly displaying the FFA logo behind and embroidered with blue and gold lines.

FFA enhances its potential leadership, personal growth and professional success through agricultural education and brings positive changes to student life. Today's FFA membership includes 359 student members, 653 from seventh to 12th graders, among 8,568 local FFA chapters in the US, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The FFA is active at the local, state, and national level. Students are chapters organized at the local school level. Agricultural educators serve as advisor to the club. This chapter is organized by state advisors led by consultants and secretary general, usually employees of the Ministry of National Education. Countries will implement programs and host annual conferences

Degree Program - FFA members can obtain degrees at the development level of leadership, academic and vocational skills. Discovery degree, green hand degree and FFA degree can all be obtained at the chapter level. The State FFA Association recognizes that its top members have a state FFA degree. The National FFA organization will award U.S. FFA degrees to the top members of each state. The Competency Awards - Agricultural Competency Awards are designed to recognize FFA members who developed their professional skills for their future career through their supervised agricultural experience program. Students can compete for prizes in 47 areas covering all areas of agricultural communication and wildlife management. Each award category can be divided into two categories: arrangement and entrepreneurial spirit.
