The Battle of San Jacinto

The battle of San Jacinto was the most decisive part of the Texas Revolution. Mexican Army Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna and Texas General Sam Houston senior commanders of the opposing forces fought. After the heroic fight at Alamo's mission, the number of Texas people has exceeded 2: 1. With the withdrawal of the Texas government, the Texas state government had to move its home base from Brasso, Washington State, to Galveston. Future fighting near the San Jacinto river will prove to be a victory or defeat for Texas in the revolution.

An organizational massacre continued. After the battle, two Americans and 630 Mexicans died. Santa Ana was arrested and promised to persuade the Mexican government to approve the Republic of Texas. Immediately after James Pork appointed President of the United States in 1845, he persuaded Congress to join the southern border along Texas and Rio Grande. Texas was accepted as a union as a slave state. But admission is not easy. After much discussion, following a very simple majority vote, the US Congress passed a joint resolution on tying Texas to the United States.

It was established in Texas in 1845. I established the Republic of Texas in the United States. In 1836, the Texas army won the battle of Sun Jackint led by the famous Santa Ana General, the Republic of Texas declared its independence from Mexico. But Mexico did not acknowledge the move and warned the US that Mexico would declare war if trying to make Texas a part of the United States. In 1845, Texas voluntarily joined the United States and demanded to be the 28th state. With this action, Mexico declared a war against the United States and began the Mexican war.

The war began on October 2, 1835 with the fight between Texas and Gonzalez. Several months later, the early Texas army 's success in Bahia and San Antonio soon suffered a big failure in the same place. The war ended at the battle of San Jacinto, where Sam Houston general led the Texas army to beat some of the Santa Anca Mexican armies arrested right after the end of the battle. The end of the war led to the establishment of the Republic of Texas in 1836. In 1845, the US Congress approved the Texas Government petition.
