The Battle of Iwo Jima

Iwo Jima is an important island in Japan as it provides an attack area and serves as a buffer for Americans to bomb their houses. The first bombing to Iwo Jima began in June 1944 (Naval Library). The B-29 and Navy ship's bombardment destroyed the landscape but had little effect on the underground staff, so the Japanese army was hardly harmed. The United States believes that they killed most of Japan during the blast without knowing that they are safe in an underground fuel canister.

The battle of Iwo Jima was a magnificent military strategy between the US Marine Corps and the Imperial Japanese Army in early 1945.
