The Awakening: Birds Will Be Birds

Birds will become birds in the whole Chopin novel 'Awakening', and she uses the symbols to convey the deeper meaning in the story. Common animals such as birds or objects such as clothing represent more than just animals on the surface of the text. Birds as symbol of women, clothes as freedom, even art as freedom or failure of individuals will make the novel beautiful and give it a deeper meaning.
