Bhagat Singh was born in Sardar Kishan Singh Sandhu and Sardarni Vidyavati Kaur in Khatkar Kalan village of Lyallpur District, Punjab Province on September 28, 1907. Ratan Kaur and Daya Kaur are the wives of Sahib Singh Bhangi of Gujrat (do not confuse Gujarat, a mistress living north of Lahore). After the death of Sahib Singh, Ranjit Singh married them in 1811 through the chādarandāzī ceremony and spread a piece of cloth on each head. Ratan Kaur gave birth to Multana Singh in 1819, Daya Kaur in 1819 and Pashaura Singh in 1821. JindKaur was the last spouse of Ranjit Singh. Bhagat Singh studied in a fifth grade at his rural school, then his father, Kishan Singh, asked him to attend Lahore's Dayanand Anglo Vedic high school.
