The Australian Style of Architecture and Harry Seidler’s Influence

When I first got off the plane at Sydney International Airport, there was a familiar atmosphere that seemed to float around a series of rooms and halls to reach the exit. The airport looks like a terminal, customs, baggage claim. When I walked outside, I found a feeling of a fresh place that is not familiar. At first it was impossible to put your fingers. This may be jet lag, or it may just be bored from US long distance flight, but I do not think Australian architecture is different from other places that Australian architecture studied in the United States like Chicago I know.

Harry Sedler received many praise and received many honorable awards. Seidler is a founding member of the Australian Building Association. In 1987, he became a member of the Australian medals. In 1976, Harry Sedler received the gold medal of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and five Schmelmann awards. In 1996, he received the gold medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects. With his own defense, he was quoted by age in 2002. "... Australia did not meet the standard internationally, but no one here has anything to lower blood pressure, this is stagnant water, local level, abandoning the built environment. In the 1990's he was not suitable for modern townscapes, so I planned to tear down the Edwardian building called Johnson's Overalls. His plan was rejected in the courtroom

In 1938 when the Nazi administration invaded, Cedora flew to Austria. After being found as an enemy alien in the UK, he was transported to Canada, where he studied architecture. He came to Sydney, Australia in 1948 to reunite with his parents. Ten years later he acquired Australian citizenship and married Penelope Evat. He has two children. He was one of the first Jewish war refugees who came to Australia. He had never practiced excessively on his idea, but his idea had an impact on many of his designs. One of his most famous works is Rose Seedler House, a Bauhaus style house in the northern suburbs of Sydney. As he was the first person to adopt this style in Australia, it was difficult for the Sydney Municipal Government to see the house, but now it is listed as a historic house. In the 1960s, Harry Sedler submitted the design of Australia Square, the first high building in Australia.
