On November 27, 1978, an agreement on Castro's market leader and justice system was assassinated. In the morning of that day, there was a cheerful atmosphere at San Francisco City Hall. The good atmosphere of Harvey milk is due to the publication of Mayor of George Moscone to the media. He intends to promote that he has decided not to re-supermarket "Family Voice" Dan White to the Supervisory Committee. Harvey milk is a fierce supporter of this political movement as he was the first ever elected homosexual official and was therefore the most important political leader of homosexuality at the time .
After trying to incorporate the lifespan of milk into the movie, the 1984 documentary told the story of his life and assassination "The Age of Harvey Milk" based on Castro market manager Randy Shilts' career. This movie was awarded the Best Documentary Award of the Oscar Award in 1984 and was awarded other awards at the 1st Sundance Film Festival. Various scripts were considered in the early 1990s, but the project failed until 2007 for various reasons. Most of the milk, including Castro camera at the forefront of milk, is filmed in Castro Street and elsewhere in San Francisco.
Representatives of LGBTQ in politics were at Harvey Milk, also known as "Castro Market Manager" originally. In 1977, Harvey milk became one of the first open-gay political officials (7). Milk was elected to the San Francisco Supervisory Committee in 1977. This is a big step for the homosexual community. Finally, the government has several delegates. The choice of Harvey Milk as a power position is the source of inspiration for the LGBTQ community. It is comfort for some people to know that someone inside recognizes the community and is a voice to people who do not have it. Sadly, Harvey milk was assassinated by Dan Whit a year later. Before White resigned, the two men worked together on the board, arguing that his income was not enough to support his family. Homosexuality is still considered psychosis at this time, and White has been trying to choose milk as the position of power (1).
