The Argument of Romans

God's wrath reveals that Paul started his argument against the Romans by proving that the Gentiles are sinners before God. God revealed him the truth to them, but they suppressed it. As a result, God gave them the desires of their heart (1: 24, 26): idolatry (1:25) and homosexuality (1: 26-27). Seeing that they do not want to protect God in their knowledge, God gives them a depressed heart to make all kinds of evil (1: 28 - 31).

In chapters 1 to 3 of the Romans, the apostle Paul presented an amazing argument that explained the necessity for all people to redress Jesus Christ. After respecting Roman saints (see Romans 1: 1-15), Paul tells the Romans about his letter. See Rome 1: 16-17. Paul discussed the influence of living in a corrupted world and explained the dilemma of sin faced by all human beings. All responsible people will sin, and they will be condemned in front of God without making amends (see Romans 1: 18-3: 20). Gentiles are responsible for their crime as they reject evidence of the Creator's appearance through their creation (see Romans 1: 18-32). The Jews were condemned because they did not fully comply with the law of Moses (see Romans 2: 1-3: 20). After explaining the true state of the people's soul, Paul introduced the solution God offered. That is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Romans 2: 6-7 shall be seen in the general debate of Romans 1 - 3 and in the context of the surrounding scriptures. It is part of the section not addressing the subject of salvation (Romans 2: 5-12), but includes the "judgment of righteousness of God" (Romans 2: 5 ). As God is judged fairly, he "sends it to everyone according to his behavior" (Romans 2: 6, Revelation 20: 12-13). Those who obey will receive glory, glory, and peace, but disobediented will be angry (see Romans 2: 7-10).
