The Architecture of Daniel H. Burnham

Daniel H. Burnham was a very influential American architect from the late 1890s to the early 1900s. After the fire, he helped in the rebuilding of Chicago, developed a modern skyscraper, and revolutionized city planning. His redesign in Chicago still influences the design of modern cities, and his "flat iron" building remains one of the most famous buildings of the 20th century. Daniel H. Burnham was born outside New York City on September 4, 1846. When Daniel was 9 years old, he and his family moved from New York to Chicago, Illinois where he graduated from a public high school as a child.

One of the people who published a paper at Columbia University was Daniel Burnham. About 10 years ago, Burnham appeared as an architect and work supervisor at the World Columbia Expo in 1893 in Chicago. He is a strong, talented dreamer who has never officially trained him, but he placed architecture and high technology in art. More than 27 million visitors came to Burnham White City for over 5 months in 1893. At its center is a natural garden designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in Central Park, New York, surrounded by a large white temple, a dome and a large pool surrounded by a colonnade.
