The American West: A Land of Opportunity

After the end of the civil war, Americans abandoned the split focus of slavery and set national priorities. Between 1865 and 1890, Americans completed a settlement in the west. For farmers and ranchers, the western United States is a land full of opportunities and because land prices are low, we can provide land including immigrants and blacks to farmers, nurture crops, nurture livestock, and make profits. The western part of the United States of America is also regarded as a place for mining workers.

In American history, the western United States is considered a starting point for new beginnings and opportunities. However, the shadow of this myth tends to be overlooked, as the opportunity to promise is not open to anyone. The indigenous people, Mexicans, and Japanese Americans are most influenced by the darkness of the western United States. These non-whites ethnic groups must really struggle to make a living and share the myths of the West. In countries where everyone should be equal, they have to face discrimination and abuse, so there is no way to get the ideal life they want. From their experience, we can find similar restrictions and exploitation of their property, land, civil rights, education, etc and they are forced to recognize the harsh realities of American race .
