The American Revolution, A Fight for Colonial Independence

"Is there a similar characteristic between these towns like the wonderful growing crowd of one quarter of the world separated by a strong sea?" Before the colonies became independent from the UK, The issue raised by Edmund Burke lies in the hearts of almost all colonists. The settlers' legacy is mainly British, their views on various themes are also true; however their prejudice against independence and independence is entirely from the creative ingenuity of Americans.

The revolution changed the society of Europe and America in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The revolution first took place in North America, 13 British colonies revolted and won independence. These colonies united to form a new republic, the United States. And it relied heavily on the awareness value of freedom, equality and people's sovereignty to prove existence as an independent land. The success of the American Revolutionary War inspired the French citizens to completely change society. After the abolition of monarchy and nobility, they founded republics based on freedom, equality and sovereignty. The turmoil quickly paralyzed the French Republic, but the value of enlightenment continued to influence France's PR after the revolution.

The American Revolutionary War is by no means a pure confrontation between America and the United Kingdom. The struggle for America independence evoked the interest of the most powerful colonial power of Europe. The result of this confrontation not only determines the fate of 13 North American colonies, it also changes the balance of colonial domination power around the world. As with colonial complaints against the UK, Europe's participation in the American Revolutionary War for many years was at the end of a century filled with intense imperial competition. In particular, the occurrence of armed conflict between the American colony and the United Kingdom occurred in the 12 years after the end of the seven year war (1756-1763).
