The American Dream or Nightmare in The Movie: The Godfather

Question 1: American dreams and nightmare. a) Godfather is a story of an immigrant family trying to live a better life in the United States. In the beginning of the 20th century America was greatly encouraged at this opportunity, immigrants began to emerge and hoped to improve their lives. Vito has a very successful business, but it is not legal but he has built a better life for himself and his family. As seen in the first 20 minutes of the movie, Vito has the ability to offer a luxurious wedding for his daughter, but at the same time we saw the contrast of the dark side of his work.

Godfather (1972) is an unparalleled movie; it is even considered by many American classics. The Godfather of the American Film Institute (AFI) ranked second in 2008 and is one of the best films in American culture today. This movie includes everything from wonderful action scenes to world-famous actors. A movie starred by Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Cann. Godfather drew a theme throughout the movie, it is violence. Every aspect of this film is in most cases part of real violence, or the audience sees some people talking about violence. However, it is the violence in this movie that is classical today.

Then there is a godfather paradox. The first two Godfather films wrote by Francis Ford Coppola director Mario Puzo starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are the two best American movies ever. These movies introduced famous lines in the American dictionary: "I want to give him a quotation that he can not refuse", "Luca Brasi sleeps with the fish", and the horse's head A bad omen message. Paradoxically, one of the great successes of contemporary Italy - American culture has also strengthened many of the negative stereotypes that have plagued Italian-Americans for a long time.
