In my research paper I will discuss the theme of "American Dream" and the selection and possibilities in the book "Raisins under the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. I will talk about the author. Acting writer Lorraine Hansberry wrote "Raisins" in the sun, the first black playwright, and the youngest American who received the New York Critic Circle Award. Lorraine Hansberry was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 19, 1930. Through her life, she actively participated in civil rights. She died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 34.
