Young Goodman Brown In this story, we present a seemingly simple story as an explanatory reader. However, reading more carefully will reveal two important ambiguities that can be explained in at least two different ways. First of all, why does a young good guy Brown enter the forest, and secondly is it the reality of the forest, or is it a fancy journey? There are two ways to explain why Goodman Brown entered the forest. First, we can assume that he enters the forest as enlightenment or religious ceremony.
Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Young Goodman Brown" is a story of a man named Goodman Brown who has a strong Puritan faith. Goodman Brown brought his wife to the depths of the forest with faith in a dark night led by strangers. Goodman Brown held several secret gatherings in the forest and some of his villagers were there. At this point in the story, Goodman Brown found out that he solved the hidden part of the villagers' life. "Tonight you should inform you of their secret behavior ..." (946)
Nathaniel Hawthorne's young Goodman Brown's revelation Nathaniel Hawthorne's criticism and reflection on young Goodman Brown focuses on the theme of good and evil. Critics are talking about interpretation of the main character's consciousness, such as whether Brown is awaking or dreaming. It is true that the belief that he believes in justice separates him from the community. Hawthorn's interpretation of Brown's "middle-aged crisis" is ambiguous and certainly gives the reader many different opinions about the cause and cause of a particular matter. Hawthorne used symbolism in his allegorical story "Young Goodman Brown"
"Young Goodman Brown" by Nathaniel Hawthorne tells stories about exposing true evil and losing faith. It is obvious to me that what I absorbed from this story is that everyone thinks it is good, no matter how good we think. "The self-refusal and self-curse Brown" which is the hero of this story began metaphorical errands he planned to face his own evil. As he was not ready to accept this as part of the nature of others, he rejected it instead and eventually prescribed his own destiny.
