The current study of AA review of clinical aid for mental illness showed that this particular racial member did not actually go to the hospital. The Association for Mentally Handicapped (NAMI) says about mental health care of AA as follows. Cultural understanding, in the US, only 2% of psychiatrists, 2% of psychologists and 4% of social workers are African Americans.
"According to the minority ethnic ministry of health and welfare, African Americans are 20% more likely to have serious mental health problems than the general population" (African-American mental health, a national psychiatric disability alliance). Blacks are more likely to cope with mental suffering than white people, but the statistics are true, and blacks are unlikely to seek help when dealing with mental health problems. The black people think that they are choosing to seek expert assistance such as therapist's weak grades, so prejudice against the psychosis of the black community is serious. There is basically no mental health topic in the black community discourse. Given the stigma associated with mental illness in the black community, this is not a topic to talk about among friends and family. Indeed, some families even smile or laugh at the mentally disabled.
Mental health has always been a topic of taboo for many families, especially in the African American community. The theme of mental health is further ignored in the subculture of African American men. As a Negro, we are taught to be strong and never show any form of weakness, including emotional and spiritual strength. However, when this spiritual and emotional tenacity is over, the real problem begins. Of course, we all want a certain degree of recovery when dealing with the daily stress of our lives, are you spending time dealing with our celebrities?
