The Advent of Realism

In the late 19th century, realism became popular by challenging many ideals and spiritual themes of romantic paintings. In the latter half of the nineteenth century it was an era of political instability in Europe and in the UK was an era of economic and social development. This movement is becoming increasingly prominent because it opposes the classic model of hypothetical expression model which the university professor is silent (Clark 2002, 134). A romantic ideal can not attract new foresighted people who want more than simply intangible things, whether in art or literature.

What is realism? Realism can be defined as a technique, also known as authenticity, used to accurately represent the reality (Campbell). Realism can not be timed accurately or limited for any period, but it is often related to the movement of the 19th century. Since the development in the international are consistent with this movement, these changes reacted positively.
