The Advantages of a Feedlot

Cows are not designed to keep consuming grains and must be given antibiotics due to health problems. For grain-based meals, many fed cows have better marble and gentleness, meat. However, despite the taste and texture of the grain-fed beef, it contains higher levels of bad fat as well as growth hormone and antibiotics. Herbivorous cows are healthier and happier because they grow less stressful and grow in a more natural environment. Herbivorous cows can freely roam and eat there.

Young livestock is usually brought to areas with cheap meadows to use this cheap feed source. As they mature, they are transported to the farm and ready for slaughter. On the farm, thousands of cattle are full of dusty fertilizer clamps. Air contains harmful bacteria that cause cows to infect respiratory system diseases. Feeding cattle usually have embedded growth-promoting hormones and are given non-naturally-rich meals designed to quickly and beneficially obese them. Because cattle are biologically suited to eating grass-based high fiber diet, their intensive farm food can cause metabolic disturbances.

Feed cows grazed during the first 6 to 8 days of meadow and then sent to a "farm" or "finish" batch. Their diet has changed from fresh grass and hay to grain-based feed. Because cattle are ruminant animals, looking at the grain acidifies the digestive system and causes an acid-fast bacterium such as E. coli 0157 to proliferate. A virtuous circle was not born on the farm. The farm only makes cheap beef. Efficiency of today's industrial farm system has brought major economic disadvantages to family farms and meadows and is obliged to pursue a "lowest cost" production model rather than a "best practice" model. Due to economic scale and operational leverage on the scale of the farm, it is difficult for farmers to compete outside the system. Cow life is separate, farmers are usually limited to one stage of the life cycle, all animals finally enter the farm. Like most existing food systems, the farm system is unsustainable and far below our capabilities.
