This book is a masterpiece - this version has several questions. There are two major versions of this book (in English). The first version was published in India in 1949 and the text currently belongs to the public domain. You can download it online for free. This is the text used in the cheapest version, including this version. Publishers reformat the books using the text of the public domain and protect copyrighted the specific placement of those words and pages. In some printed copies of this version, the type is hard to read and in some cases even the page is lost.

The version supported by Montessori Training Organization translated by Claude Claremont in 1958 is different. With a preface by Dr. John Chattin-McNichols, you can say that you have a translation from Claremont. Or Claremont's translation note. There is no Kindle format in this version

Unfortunately, as of February 2018, the two versions were mixed together on the Amazon system, so we had to separate them. Even more annoying is that this version of Kindle is associated with other translations as if they were the same book in different formats. It's not. I actually like reading and comparing, but the Italian translation is different and I need to sort it. Some of the comments related to this book are related to Claremont's translation (some negative comments on the public domain version have been posted to the Claremont version).

Maria Montessori divides the stage of absorption thinking into two stages of unconscious and conscious stage. From birth to 3 years old, the child unconsciously or unconsciously absorbs the information. He (or she) learns to sit, stand, walk, take hands and talk without conscious effort. Children develop his basic "talent" or function by imitating. At this stage the children imitate what they see. They are preparing for the next stage, conscious stage.
