Abstract: The editorial choice of the early modern music collection provides clues to domestic reading and audience preferences. This article focuses on the four volumes edited by Roman composer Fabio Kostantini (1614-39), probably for amateur home use: Selectae cantiones (Rome, 1616); Scelta di motetti (Rome, 1618) Ghirlandetta amorosa (1621); and L'Aurata Cintia (1622).
