Personality typing is a system that classifies people based on a tendency to think and act in a specific way. Personality typing understands these differences by trying to find the widest and most important difference among people and dividing people into meaningful groups.
The personality types described here were created by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Catherine Briggs in the 1960 's. Their theory is based on psychologist Carl Jung's research, but they extended his idea and created a more complete personality typing framework. Myers and Briggs suggest that there are four important aspects that can be used to classify people.
Each of the four dimensions is described as dichotomy, or as a choice between two styles. Myers and Briggs explain this as "preference" and suggest that anyone should be able to decide the style of preference of each dimension in 4 dimensions. The sum of the four preference styles will be that personality type.
Myers and Briggs believe that we combine our preferences for each of the four aspects to create patterns of predictable thinking and behavior that will bring people with the same four preferences closer to their way of life . In their hobby they choose, they can share many things in common. It may be suitable for their work

In my MBA program, I opened a course called Organized Behavior that introduced the concept of Myers Briggs Personality Test (MBTI). This is a personality analysis test that classifies people into 16 personality types based on a 10-minute questionnaire. Each personality type has its own behavior and the purpose of the analysis is to understand the similarities and differences between them. We have specific views about most things that are important to us, and we see them from myriad perspectives before forming an opinion. When we discuss the theory, we may be rude and controversial, but this is because we develop our opinion after much thought and analysis and It is for us to defend them to the end.
