One of the college students' most important life skills is the ability to manage money and make informed financial decisions. For some people, these skills were developed during high school days. They have work and they have to decide on expenditure. Others usually require assistance from parents who are new electives, lifeskill consultants or personal finance courses. Learning to balance checkbooks, understanding credit cards and credit cards, learning how to set and maintain budgets is one of the most important personal economic life skills.

The Economic Cooperation and Development Organization calls economic knowledge "an essential life skill of adolescence". Only 15 years old, most have bank accounts and debit cards - but they do not know how to manage them responsibly. While the educational system has made some progress in the implementation of financial education, priority must be given to all school districts of all ages. At least, it must be a high school graduation requirement. We must ensure that young Americans have the skills necessary to live a happy, healthy and economically responsible life for their economic future.

Summer jobs provide additional income and economic skills. For many teenagers, summer work is the first time they get a lot of cash, these are their own. This is a great way to try out financial management skills, such as having bank accounts and debit cards, budgeting incomes to achieve important goals such as car and university savings.
