Teen Peer Pressure Causes Drinking and Driving

According to the American Highway Freight Authority (NHSTA), on average in the United States an average of one teenager died in an accident, about 50% of which was related to alcohol accidents. Alcohol is the most widely abused drug among young people. Alcohol abuse occurs in all geographical, racial, ethnic groups. Teenagers can easily yield to fellow pressure when deciding whether to use alcohol. Unfortunately, they lack the ability to deal with and judge sensible handling of alcohol.

An obvious form of pressure from peers is that teenagers drink at parties. Participating children should drink alcohol, and some people may drink plenty of wine. There are subtle forms of equal pressure in the choice of clothing and attitude toward sex and drug use. Agreeing to the attitude of the group is usually not enough; teenagers need to prove themselves by acting to support their speech. Usually, a few people in this group are leaders. These people have established rules for others and are regarded as authoritative figures from their colleagues. Everyone who challenges the rules is challenging the authority of the leader. Teenagers may be hesitant to say it because they are afraid of losing friendship with one of these leaders or they are afraid of losing their position in the group .

Peer pressure has various forms. When most parents think about their colleagues' pressure, they think about a group of teenagers who are drinking or smoking, and drinkers are mocking that "everyone is doing it" I knew. This is a way to put pressure on your opponent. The pressure from a colleague depends on the type of group of opponents the child is with, or the type you want. Some teenagers compete with popular people. They may be worried that they will be abandoned or at least not so popular if they are not with friends.
