With social networks and other social technologies, friends and family can interact regardless of location. While people remain sociable through constant communication, the essential part of the face-to-face interaction is affected. In a romantic relationship, open communication with colleagues is important for the trust and development of the relationship. Young people maintain daily relationships using social technologies such as the Internet and mobile phones.
The purpose of this research was to study the influence of technology use on the relationship between husband and wife. It is assumed that the use of technology without interaction with or interaction with a partner may adversely affect the satisfaction of the relationship. The results of this study found that the use of laptops in front of partners who did not participate / did not interact was associated with a negative perception of this relationship. There is no adverse effect on the use of computers, televisions, mobile phones. From a neuropsychological point of view, when partners use laptops without interaction, their dominance decreases. Decline of control is upregulated by the limbic system (brain's emotional area) that detects potential compromise or violates the need for personal safety and attachment and control. Cortisol induces a feedback loop in the hypothalamus and then down regulates the stress response
The increase in the use of social media has changed the meaning of interpersonal relationship. This is very important for how society interacts with itself. Afterwards, this has a bad influence on society. In general view, technology is considered neutral as technology can not control our relationship. But this belief must be critically examined by examining the society itself to consider its effectiveness. Society can be underestimated by consumer socialization of mass media children in many cases (McNeal & Ji, 1998), as its impact is very subtle and indirect. Media has been changed but we are still watching TV during the day so we can get social media in various forms.
Social media has changed the aspect of interpersonal relationship. Romantic relationships are also affected. For example, in the United States, Facebook is an integral part of the dating process of emerging adults. Social media can positively and negatively affect romantic relationships. For example, sustainable social networks are associated with more stable relationships. However, using social media also encourages passive attacks such as conflict, embarrassment, partner surveillance. In addition to the direct impact of development, maintenance, and recognition of romantic relationships, the use of excessive social networks is associated with embarrassment and dissatisfaction in the relationship. There are an increasing number of people engaged in pure online dating, but there are people who are engaged in traditional face-to-face dialogue, not always. Chatting with multiple online partners will be more serious
